When do we meet?
Meetings are flexible and informal to suit the activity
What are Network Scouts?
Network Scouts are the last of the sections that make up the membership of the Group. Both male and female members make up the “Explorers”, the age range for an Explorer Scout is between 18 and 21.
What do we do?
The Network programme is “do it yourself” a mixture of adventure and activities that the members agree to undertake. Network Scouts themselves are in charge, self governing, deciding what to do leaders and experts are on hand to help and assist where necessary.
More adventurous activities feature highly, putting the training and experience gained from earlier sections into practice. Teamwork and self reliance lead to expeditions and weekends away, visiting places. Taking part in outdoor activities, or working on special projects are part of the programme. Social events are regularly held.
What do we wear ?
Network Scouts wear a uniform like all other sections for formal meetings and occasions. A mushroom coloured shirt with the Group Neckerchief, with Blue Cargo trousers. Where the particular activity demands, clothing suited to the task is worn with particular attention being given safety, ensuring that members are suitably equipped. A Group “T Shirt” is available for activities.
